How Many Moving Bins Do I Need?
Most moves need:
• 25 bins for a studio or 1-bedroom apartment
• 50 bins for a typical 1-2 bedroom home
• 75 bins for a larger 3-4 bedroom home
• 100 bins for a large family home
Not sure? Contact us and we’ll help estimate the right number of bins based on your move.
How Long Can I Keep The Bins?
Our standard rental period is one week, which works well for most moves.
Need more time? Additional weeks can be added if your move takes longer than expected.
How Far In Advance Should I Reserve My Bins?
We recommend reserving your bins as soon as you know your moving dates.
Weekend deliveries, month-end moves, and summer moving season tend to book up first.
While we’ll always do our best to accommodate last-minute requests, reserving early helps ensure availability and gives you one less thing to worry about as moving day approaches.
What If I Need More Bins?
Just let us know.
If you discover you need additional bins, we’ll do our best to deliver more based on availability.
What If I Finish Unpacking Early?
That’s great!
Just let us know when you’re done and we’ll schedule pickup as soon as practical.
Rentals are priced by the week, so early pickup does not change the rental rate.
What If My Move Takes Longer Than Expected?
No problem.
If you need the bins beyond your scheduled rental period, contact us before your pickup date and we’ll extend your rental for an additional week.
Rental extensions are billed in one-week increments.
What Areas Do You Deliver To?
We currently serve Portland, Beaverton, Hillsboro, Tigard, Lake Oswego, West Linn, Oregon City, Vancouver, and surrounding communities.
Do You Deliver Upstairs?
Yes.
We deliver to apartments, condos, townhomes, and homes with stairs. Just let us know about any access restrictions when placing your order.
Do I Need To Be Home For Delivery?
Our preference is to have someone available when we deliver.
However, we also offer contactless delivery when a safe drop-off location is available and arrangements have been made in advance.
When Do You Pick Up The Bins?
We’ll schedule pickup when you place your order.
Once you’re unpacked, we’ll come collect the empty bins so you don’t have to deal with breaking down cardboard boxes or hauling anything to the recycling center.
What If I Need To Reschedule My Delivery Or Pickup?
Life happens.
Contact us as soon as possible and we’ll do our best to accommodate schedule changes.
Can I Use The Bins For A Long-Distance Move?
Maybe.
Our bins are intended primarily for local moves within our service area.
If you’re planning a move outside the Portland metro area, please contact us before placing your order so we can discuss your specific situation.
All bins must ultimately be returned within our service area.
Can I Stack The Bins?
Absolutely.
The bins are designed to stack securely and help keep your move organized.
For safety, we recommend stacking no more than five bins high.
Do The Bins Have Locking Lids?
The attached lids snap securely closed to help protect your belongings during your move.
Are The Bins Weather Resistant?
Yes.
Our bins are made from durable plastic and handle moisture far better than cardboard boxes. However, they are not waterproof and should not be left exposed to heavy rain or standing water.
What Happens If It Rains During My Move?
Oregon happens.
Our bins are made from durable plastic and won’t weaken or fall apart when exposed to moisture like cardboard boxes can.
While the bins are weather resistant, we recommend keeping your belongings covered and protected during heavy rain, just as you would during any move.
Do I Need Packing Tape?
No.
That’s one of the biggest advantages of reusable moving bins.
The attached lids eliminate the need to assemble and tape cardboard boxes.
Are The Bins Clean?
Yes.
Every bin is cleaned and inspected between rentals before being delivered to the next customer.
Unlike used cardboard boxes, our reusable bins don’t absorb moisture, odors, dust, or dirt and arrive ready to use.
Do I Need To Clean The Bins Before Pickup?
No.
Just empty the bins and we’ll take care of the cleaning.
What If A Bin Is Lost Or Damaged?
Accidents happen.
Normal wear and tear is expected.
If a bin is lost, damaged, or accidentally left behind during your rental, please contact us as soon as possible.
Our goal is to be fair and reasonable. We simply ask customers to communicate with us so we can work together to find the best solution.
What Happens If I Need To Cancel My Reservation?
Plans change.
If you need to cancel or reschedule your reservation, please contact us as soon as possible and we’ll do our best to accommodate your request.
Additional cancellation terms may apply depending on the timing of your delivery.
